Introduction to ADS Agency UK
Prior to starting my Placement week with ADSagencyUK.com I was invited to take part in Footgolf with the team. This was my introduction to them and the sport. It was a relaxed and fun way to ese myself into the team. I competed with a team member with whom I would later ollaborate on a project. On my first day, I attended a virtual meeting which linked to my journalism degree - I prepared for the meeting, asked questions and participated in a discussion. This enhanced my professionalism and confidence. I also conducted secondary (desk) research collecting key facts about an industry. I also participated in primary research (observation) reporting accurate information.
Supporting London Networks
After an introduction to my fellow Trainees and collaborating on a variety of projects, I participated in a networking event with them. There I engaged with business owners, entrepreneurs and community representatives. This allowed me to develop my understanding of professional networking and how it supports relationship building, idea sharing and collaboration. Strengths were introducing myself confidently and communicating professionally, alongside active listening. Separately I attended a networking session in the creative sector where I listened to talks and spoke to professionals and business owners about their operations in the creative sector.
Making the video
On my final day I worked with another Trainee on an unboxing video for a condiment product. It was interesting and educational to work with others to plan out a vision and execute it. - we had to showcase the packaging/products and trial different camera angles and placement to get the desired result. I very much looked forward to seeing the edited video. I wrapped up a variety of tasks, said goodbye, enjoyed a leaver's lunch and was presented with a Certificate for Outstanding Contribution.
